Aspirin + Honey = Facial Mask

Ok..it's scary. if not for these 'beauty tutorials' from youtube, I wouldn't know that aspirin's made out of "salicylic acid".. also known as Beta Hydroxy Acid, BHA for short. argh!@#!

No wonder, it can be used as exfoliator..even a facial mask.

But of course, you do not need to guess, I'm wearing an aspirin+ honey mask right now LOL. And I promise, I'll let you know if it works after 2 weeks :-)

There are times when I feel like throwing anything out, just like right now. I guess that's just one way of saying.. "I'm pissed".

Yep, I really am. When ideas and point of views do not coincide, things collide. I don't want to go into details but it's a personal family problem and if I'll rant and rave about it in a detailed version, believe me, it'll take me more than a day to write it all down.

To make the long story short, I'm having a hard time adjusting with the parental role "how to discipline your teenager stepkid". That is especially when you are born and raised in the Philippines and is now trying to mold a teenager that is born and raise in the States. That's typically East and West or North and South. How am I going to react on things? Do I have a say on anything?

When I asked some words of wisdom from my dad, he told me a parable "you can only lead the horse to the water but you cannot make the horse drink". Yeah it's true, but if it's affecting everyone in the family, if the disrespectful is too much to bear, can't I do something else?

I don't really know what to do..if you are on the same boat, I need your advice..badly.

I'm sorry that I need to rant here, I have to let it out..just bear with me today.

Aloha Stadium, Oahu, Hawaii during USC vs UH 2010 kick-off game

So yeah we went to the game last Thursday and it was great :-) . I personally had a blast, thanks to my sponsor (my husband) lol.

Yeah, I admit, I am a football junkie; I was even glued on my TV today, watching all of those college football games that's televised.

LSU looks promising this year, it's only sad that they are also penalized (just like my USC :( ). I heard that they also can't go to any bowls this year.

UNM's (University of New Mexico) game was a disaster, they scored zero against Oregon (the ducks) that scored 72. I feel for NM but oh well, that's how football is.

Also, Oregon State and TCU's game was awesome..it was very competitive and was very fun to watch (that's for the lack of word, I don't know how to describe it but it was a good game). So if you're a football junkie like me, YOU SHOULD or else you're missing half of your life LOL.

Right now, I am looking forward on watching the NFL kick-off next week :P

2010 College Football Kick Off (USC vs Hawaii)

Yes, we are going to watch the 2010 College Football Kick Off today, USC vs Hawaii.

I really am so excited. I am a big football junkie (college or PRO) and yeah I am a Trojan fan :) and this will be my first time to watch the Trojans on stadium. A stadium game of Trojans tops my wishlist from last year and every time I get a chance to remind my husband, I always did.

So like two days ago, he surprised me by saying "Hey, I just purchased us a ticket to the game". YAY!! It was one of the happiest moment of my football life LOL.

My clothes are ready, I've already ironed my hair :P , I've already printed our e-tickets and all I'm doing is blogging, buying my time 'til my husband picks me up and drive us to the stadium.

I'm back...

I always utter that word ... "I'm back" like a broken record LOL. I sounded like some "kuko" but it's true, whenever I came across with my other blogs that was idle for years, I always started my post by saying "I'm back".

You see, I have 9 blogs and I've never really maintained all of it regularly. There were a lot of instances (not excuses :P ) why I became idle.

We relocated from one state to another, I found a job and to top it all I got pregnant (and still is pregnant, I'm on my 6th months of pregnancy as of the moment). I hope it doesn't sound as lame as I know it would be LOL but yeah, I was really busy....

until today.

I decided to re-open each of my blogs one at a time, that will give me time to really focus on each of these blogs.I'll probably close some blogs and will decide how many should I retain, that way I can concentrate on what's left.

I am fine because those blogs that I monetized were not hosted by blogger so I'm not affected. This one that you visited right now is just a casual one :D

The unpredictable football

I came across an article about Romo (QB of Dallas) to be out for four weeks.

He broke his finger during his last game and this is certainly not a good news for the Dallas fans. After Tom Brady was injured, I was really thinking that Dallas is the next strong team to stand out.

I like Dallas but after seeing how T. Owen acted during their recent games, I was (kind of) disappointed. He's something.. He was acting like he's that good. I know he is but you don't need to brag about it.

Dallas lost 2 games in a row now which is really surprising and Romo is not playing for 4 weeks. That's 4 games, it could make or break the Dallas team isn't it?

And yeah, nevermind my New England team, I think they're done for the rest of the year. Haha. It was hard to admit at first but then, that's how it is. Their new QB is struggling, the team is messed up..so I guess last thing that I can say is..till next season for NE.

It's been a year and 3 months that I'm living here in the States and so far I'm getting used on how to live here.

And that includes getting curious on how the politics goes here. I am very open that graft and corruption was way too much too handle way back in my country (Philippines). You can't trust the government there, everybody is a cheater.

So when I started getting aware of how things work here (States), I really commend on how they maneuver and run their government.

There might be some flaws but definitely a good government. Hence the election is coming, who do you think will win? Is it McCain or Obama?

It's a tough question, because just like football, election is also a very unpredictable one.

Haaaayyy, nakaka-depress. Di ko na talaga na-save yung pinakaunang blog ko. I don't know what happened, basta bigla na lang nawala sa dashboard ko. Sayang din yung hundreds of entries na ginawa, sa isang iglap bigla na lang nawala. Pero ano pa nga ba ang magagawa ko..kaya heto, gumawa na lang ako ng panibagong bahay.

Actually, binili ko na ang domain na kapareho ng pangalan ng blog na to. Napagtripan ko lang na e-register ito sa blogger. Buhay blogger nga naman oo. Nga pala, andami ng bloggers ano? Sabi ng kaibigan ko na pinay na-e-feature daw ang blogging sa isang TV show sa pinas.

Oo nga din naman, malaki ang potential sa blogging. Kahit pa sabihing P40 to $1 na lang ang palitan ng US dollar ngayon, dolyar pa rin yan. Yung $5 na isang entry, 200 pesos na rin yan sa pinas. Kung ikukumpara, may sa isang buong araw na ring sweldo yan. Kaya naman, kung ako nasa pinas...mag-ba-blog na lang ako. Kahit cguro mga $400 a month, ok na ok na yun sa kin.

At saka, maraming na-o-open na opportunity ang blogging. Sa ibang blogs ko, there are a lot of advertisers na nag-e-email sa akin na gustong magpagawa ng ads. Maganda di ba? Tsaka proud din ako kasi naniniwala sila sa akin, kumbaga yung produkto nila, pinagkakatiwala nila sa akin. Maganda rin ang pakiramdam.

Anyway, hanggang dito na lang muna kasi may apat na assignment na pending pa ko..kailangan ko pang gawin. Bukas na lang ulit. Di ako mangangakong magsusulat ako ng entry dito araw araw but I'll do my best na makapagsulat.

I created this new blog mainly because I lost another blog. I'm not sure what happened, it just disappeared on my dashboard :(. Certainly not a good news for me. I just emailed the blogger management and lets see what happened.

I admit I'm a little depress. Anyway, I'm still hoping that I could retrieve it back, I have huge files on that blog :( and it'll break my heart to lose all those files. That blog was my first blog :(.
